Mariachi Los Bravos de J. D. Smith Middle School is one of the oldest mariachi programs in the Clark County School District.  Since it’s inception in 2002, the Mariachi program at J. D. Smith Middle School has grown to nearly 300 students making it one of the more popular programs at our school and in the Hispanic community in Las Vegas.

Under the direction of Daniel Gonzales, Thomas Garibay, and Daniel Franco, Mariachi Los Bravos continuously strives to set the standard for middle school mariachi ensembles in CCSD.  In 2009, Mariachi Los Bravos earned it's very first Superior rating at the annual CCSD Mariachi Festival.  Members of Mariachi Los Bravos also represent J. D. Smith yearly in the CCSD Honor and All-City Mariachis.

It is their dedication, devotion, and passion for mariachi music that continues to make Mariachi Los Bravos one of the premier mariachi ensembles in the Clark County School District.
